Keane ready to battle to the end

Sunderland manager Roy Keane is ready for a battle ahead in which he believes the fans support could be crucial.

Keane told safc.com "The games coming up at home are crucial game but then all the games in this league are important"

"I expect this battle to go right to the end. We`ve got to stay strong and keep believing, we`re in there fighting"

"Our home form has been decent and with our fans behind us I`m sure we`ll give anyone a game. It won`t be for the lack of trying"

"We`d like to be further up the table but I`m sure if you said the same to Steve Coppell or Kevin Keegan or any manger near the bottom, we`d all have a few hard luck stories."

Vital Sunderland Says

We have two hard games coming up against Everton and Chelsea (So that will be six easy points then) in which we will struggle to get a kick of the ball never mind nick a point or even a goal.

With the way the league is at the moment I can see us dropping right back into the brown stuff.
