Kids Face Uphill Battle

Sunderland under 18`s 0 Man City under 18`s 2

Sunderland under 18`s were beaten in their first leg of the FA youth cup Semi-Final tie against Manchester City under 18`s.

Sunderland lost to Manchester City by two goals to nil at the Stadium of Light.

City`s first goal had an element of luck, against the run of play Mcgiven took a shot from inside the box for it to be defected in.

City`s second was again scored by Mcgiven this time he got of the end of a corner to head past Dan Staples.

Sunderland should have scored at least one goal with chances coming from Waghorn, Luscombe, Colback and Noble.

They now face an uphill battle against City in the second tie at Manchester.

Vital Sunderland Says

The lads played well and the score line flatted City.

Have they got what it takes to overcome City in Manchester?

Who knows but I sure Bally and co will have them well prepared for the trip to Manchester.
