Defender Wants Three More Wins

Sunderland defender Dannny Collins believes three more wins will help secure survival for the club.

Collins told safc.com "We lost on Saturday but we took great heart from the performance. It'll give us confidence for the run-in and that's the level we have to reach in every game now."

"The gaffer said afterwards that it's no good playing like that against Chelsea and then being below par in the other games. If we can keep that standard, I think we will be fine."

"If we play like we did against Chelsea we can get at least a point from Villa. After that we play teams in and around us and they are huge games. If we can get nine or ten points, hopefully that will be enough."

"The fans applauded us off at the end and that doesn't happen often when a team has lost. I think we worked hard and showed determination and that's all the crowd is asking for."

Vital Sunderland Says

I think nine or ten point might just do it with how tight it is at the bottom of the league.

Hopefully we can achieve that target and still be playing premiership football next season.
