Keane Hopes for Victory at Villa

Sunderland Manager Roy Keane is hoping his side can pull off their first away win of the season against Villa on Saturday.

Keane told safc.com "This football club has fantastic supporters, they showed great knowledge and understanding against Chelsea."

"Applauding us off after a defeat, it shows the type of character our fans have."

"They acknowledged the players' efforts against Chelsea, it was a good performance. We all want to win, but if you have a go they will settle for that."

"They travel in their vast numbers and it would be great to get that away win on Saturday, give them something to cheer about."

"People outside the club might not be, but we are confident the first away win is just around the corner. If we could get it, it would make a hell of a difference."

Vital Sunderland Says

It would be great to get our first away win at Villa. A win at Villa is long over due I think the last time we won down there was twenty odd years ago.
