Fulop set to leave ? Destination Stoke?

Sunderland goalkeeper Marton Fulop looks set to leave the Stadium of Light after Sunderland manager Roy Keane confirmed Fulop is in talks with Stoke.

Keane told safc.com "I always felt we needed another goalkeeper , especially with Marton`s situation, It looks like he will be leaving in the next day or two, there could be a deal o with Stoke."

"Marton has been fantastic since he`s been at the club he`s a very good professional but he has been frustrated with Craig in there."

"We have Wardy who is fit again and looking very sharp, and we`ve got young Trevor who was outstanding for the reserves last year."

"We have had a good offer for Marton and he`d made it clear to me on a number of occasions that he wanted to go and get some games, I have to respect that."

"If a player wants to leave, and we get the right offer, I will rarely stand in his way. We wish Marton well."

Vital Sunderland Says

It looks like Fulop`s time at the club will be coming to an end very soon. It`s a shame he`s a good keeper who didn`t really get a look in with Gordon in fine form.

You can never have enough goalies, but you do seem to have enough without him.
