Sunderland star unlikely to make Spurs return

Sunderland`s new signing Teemu Tainio is unlikely to make a White Hart Lane comeback after suffering an injury during the Liverpool game.

Tainio who joined Sunderland from Spurs along with Chimbonda and Malbranque during the summer has a leg strain.

His manager Roy Keane confirmed the injury by telling the shields gazette "Teemu is a doubt for the weekend."

"We don't believe the injury is serious, but it might keep him out of the Spurs game"

Vital Sunderland Says

What a blow to have him out for the Spurs game he has impressed me in all the games I have seen him play in. He reminds me of Stefan Schwarz he never wastes a ball and breaks up play well.
