Ricky Cool for Cats

Sunderland have announced the appointment of Ricky Sbragia as full time manager.

Sbragia has signed an 18 month contract with the club after impressing since Roy Keane`s departure.

Ricky has managed to galvanised a Sunderland side languishing at the foot of the Premier League table since his appointment and his side has taken 7 point`s from a possible 12.

Sbragia told the clubs official site "I am delighted to have been offered the opportunity to manage a club as big as Sunderland and I am relishing the challenge ahead."

"My main priority is moving up the Premiership table and ensuring we have unity and stability at the Club. I have been extremely pleased by the commitment shown by the players to date and the support we have all received from the fans."

"We travel to Merseyside this afternoon and I can hardly wait."

Vital Sunderland Says

Quinn has finally picked his second manager since the Drumaville takeover and I am delighted he has given Ricky the chance to prove himself as a manager.
