'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Sbragia Says 'West Brom Forgotten Now We Move On'

Rick Sbragia has challenged his Sunderland side to respond to the 3-0 drubbing suffered at West Brom last Saturday with a positive response against Everton this weekend.

Plenty has been said about the crushing defeat but the Sunderland manager has now urged his players to put that behind them, move on and get a positive result against Everton at the Stadium on Light on this weekend: 'We've started afresh today. We've got to focus on Everton now, look ahead and put what happened last weekend behind us,' Sbragia told the Daily Mail. 'We've got to put it out of our minds. West Brom was a poor performance and there's been a lot of soul-searching.

Getting the players to watch the video back of the match didn't make it any better, if anything it was worse, Sbragia added: 'It's the first time we've shown them the video of a whole game. We then had a chat with them for 10 or 15 minutes and let them chew the cud over it.

'It was disastrous for us and watching it again, it didn't get any better.'

The Black Cats destiny is still in their own hands as they are four points above the drop zone with four matches to play.

Do you think that Ricky Sbragia will get the positive response from Sunderland against Everton this weekend that he's looking for?
