Here`s a look back at the transfer rumours over the last week.
Lee Cattermole is Steve Bruce`s top target as he aims to transform Sunderland. Bruce signed Cattermole from Middlesbrough for Wigan and he would like to bring him back up to the North East with him. Titus Bramble is another Bruce target from his former club.
West Ham`s Australian right back Lucas Neill could be on his way to the club. Neill is out of contract with the Hammers, but his wage demand may put the club off of signing the 31-year-old.
Valencia`s 6ft 8inch Serbian International striker Nikola Zigic is another target, along with the often linked Darren Bent, according to the Daily Mail. Both strikers could cost up to £10m. However, if this story is true, Kenwyne Jones` future may lie away from the club.
Coventry City would like to take Jordan Henderson back to the club next season. Youngster Henderson had a successful loan spell at the club during the second half of last season and Sky Blues boss Chris Coleman would like to bring him back on a seasons long loan deal.
Hull look set to rekindle their interest Sunderland Captain Dean Whitehead. Hull were interested in signing Whitehead back in January and Steve Bruce may decide to cash in if he signs Cattermole.
Chris Turner would also like to get a few of the club`s youngsters on loan for Hartlepool. Turner told reporters: ''They have got some excellent players at Sunderland that in my opinion should be playing in the Football League on a regular basis.
''It will be worth a call because they have just won the Premier League Reserves. They are by far the best reserves team I have seen and it is a situation we are looking at.''
Roy O`Donovan, Nathan Luscombe, Martyn Waghorn and Jack Colback have all been linked with a move down the A19.
And finally, more Roy`s Keane on Sunderland`s ____________. This time, Carlos Edwards and Paul McShane have been linked with a move away from the club, along with Daryl Murphy again. Considering both Edwards and McShane looked like leaving the club when Keano was in charge, this one could well be a "story" on a slow day.
