O'Donovan joins Southend

Roy O`Donovan has joined Southend United on a month`s loan.

O`Donovan joins Jean Yves M`Voto at Roots Hall and is the first of many players who are expected to leave the club on loan in the coming weeks.

The striker has failed to impress at the Stadium of Light since being signed from Cork City by Roy Keane. His future has seemed to be away from the club after loan spells with Dundee United and Blackpool.

Nyron Nosworthy, Russell Anderson, Michael Liddle, Daryl Murphy and David Healy are also expected for find a new temporary home in the coming weeks.
