Jones Lines Up For Reserves Tonight

The Trinidad and Tobago striker will be looking to prove he has been missed as he looks to partner Bent on Saturday against Fulham.

Bruce will be hoping he can put Jones straight into the starting eleven as he witnessed a shocking performance against Wigan last weekend. With Campbell spurning a few chances, Jones will be a big replacement as Sunderland look to end the run of defeats on the road.

Steve Bruce, knows that if he can get Jones back to his best he can end the run of one win in 17 away games and get Sunderland back up the league.

It will be important to have two fit strikers up front at Craven Cottage and end their impressive home record of being undefeated since September.

Once we have Jones and Bent firing on all cylinders we can then gradually wait for Gordon and Cattermole to return and add strength to the team.

i agree that jones is missed but i dnt think that him being there helps the team, we are too eager to play long balls and our quality of football on the ground is bad. we would never of out played arsenal if jones one on the pitch... maybe outjumped them.... lets hope jones will come back to fit around the team rather than the team round him!
