Man charged over Racist Abuse

Northumbria Police and colleagues from Greater Manchester Police arrested a 26-year-old male from Chester -Le- Street after fast work from both units charged him at 6.50pm last night.

Bent will be pleased as the male was arrested on suspicion of racially aggravated harassment after the 1-0 defeat to Wigan as he stood near Shirley Bent in a crowded public house.

He has been released on police bail until January 12th, but Sunderland AFC will welcome this news, as they look to make strides in expressing this incident is a one off and look to continue their hard work in making racism unheard of at home and away games.
