Sunderland Face Barrow In 3rd Round

Steve Bruce will face the Cumbrians on the 2nd January after a congested fixture pile up in Decemeber for the first time in the clubs history.

Barrow cruised to victory at Holker Street as they took the lead through Bolland in the 38th minute. Logan and Goodfellow added the other crucial strikes before Oxford scored a late consolation as they crashed to defeat.

This will be a second successive third round trip to the North East for Barrow, after 7,000 Barrow fans saw their side narrowly lose at Middlesbrough 2-1 in January this year.

Tickets for this clash are available for 15 adults, and 5 for under 16's before the match day.

All tickets go on sale from 10am Wednesday 9th December 2009. Season card holders and Black Cats Bar members have until 5pm Monday 21st December 2009 to purchase their seat location.
