Bent Aims To Impress Cappello

Bent Aims To Impress Cappello

Bent, who has hit an amazing 25 goals in total for Sunderland this season has joined the 30-man provisional squad as they head to the capital to begin training.

Darren will be looking to impress Fabio Cappello and make him see that he is a key part of the squad. The Italian manager has picked five strikers in total and he needs to see Darren in a game where he can shine after his poor selection against Brazil earlier this season.

England face two friendlies against Mexico at Wembley on May 24th and then face Japan in Graz on May 30th.

If Darren can get a start and find the target in either of these games he will be in with a massive shout to make the final 23 man squad selected on June 1st.

Good luck Darren!
