Good Luck Paraguay

After watching England crash to their heaviest defeat in the tournament many die-hard fans have probably lost all interest in this competition. However, many Sunderland fan has adopted Paraguay as their 2nd nation due to them having Paulo Da Silva and Christian Riveros in the starting eleven this afternoon.

Da Silva has yet to put a foot wrong in a solid group stage performance and has shown to Bruce and the public he would be good enough for the top flight this season.

Riveros, rated the best midfielder by FIFA stats due to his accurate passing, goal scored and clean sheets has also impressed in the Paraguayan midfield.

This 2nd round game will be difficult for Paraguay against a fit and in form Japan but with the South American team spirit and graft they will compete Japan all over the pitch.

Good luck lads and well done for keeping Sunderland on the football map.
