Da Silva Returns, Riveros Delayed

Sunderland and passports do not mix well after a recent hold up with Marcos Angeleri with his working permit.

Now Sunderland have to wait for the arrival of South American midfielder Riveros as he awaits his visa to play in England.

In the meantime, Riveros is training with Premier League side Club Rubio Nu in his homeland to keep up his fitness levels.

Riveros, 27, had a brilliant World Cup as his nation fell in the quarter-finals with Da Silva.

Da Silva is in line to start his first game this pre season against Leicester at the Walkers Stadium this weekend.
