Lads Fall To Germans

Sunderland went down 3-1 to Hoffenheim in Germany today as their pre-season came to a worrying end.

Some very suspect defending from the Lads helped the German Bundesliga outfit to score three simple goals which could have been more if not for a decent Simon Mignolet performance. The performance of Titus Bramble was one of the talking points as there were some nervy moments from the former Wigan & Newcastle man.

Sunderland's one reply came from a superb Jordan Henderson free kick which looped in early in the second half.

Steve Bruce certainly has lots of food for thought with just 6 days to go until the first Premier League match at home to Birmingham.
