Captain Cattermole

Sunderland have announced today that Lee Cattermole will be the captain for this season. Cattermole will replace the departed Lorik Cana and hope to improve Sunderland's 13th league position with positive displays.

Cattermole, who at the young age of 18 was the youngest skipper at former club Middlesbrough, is the perfect replacement for Cana and will be hoping for an injury free season this time.

Sunderland manager Steve Bruce also named the experienced Bolo Zenden as the club captain. Zenden will take charge of player matters off the field and also help develop the younger academy players.
