Mensah Injury Jinx Strikes Again

SAFC's on loan defender, John Mensah has been injured again just one game in to his return to the club.

The Ghanaian tore his hamstring making a superbr lunging tackle against Birmingham at the weekend. A scan revealed a grade 2 tear which rules him out for 2-3 weeks.

The injury is another blow for Steve Bruce after Mensah was dogged with continuous injuries last term caused by a long term back problem.

It will be interesting to see whether Bruce plays Da Silva at centre back as a direct replacement against WBA on Saturday, or move Onuoha across and bring in a new recognised right back, such as Bardsley, Marcos Angeleri or even move Elmohamady back from the wing.
