Gyan For Trophies!

Gyan For Trophies!

He has came here as our record signing, and now he aims to dance his way through the Premier League and cup competitions to win Sunderland trophies in the next four years.

Asamoah Gyan will start his new career in the English Premier League this weekend against Wigan Athletic, and he aims to form a lethal partnership with in form Darren Bent to fire Sunderland towards glory.

Gyan said: 'First of all, I want to help both Ghana and my new club win trophies.

'I can only do well if I'm winning things at club and international level.

'But I don't want to get ahead of myself. The most important thing for me is to improve and mature as a player.

'Playing in England is a dream to many players, so I'm happy to be there.

'It's a big stage and I'm looking forward to the challenge that lies ahead. I know it won't be easy but I will work twice as hard in order to achieve my goals.

'First I have to adapt to the conditions, but sure, I'm looking forward to the challenge and a change of environment.'

The driven Ghanaian striker will look forward to his opening game after playing for his Nation in their latest victory 3-0 against Swaziland.
