Gyan Sent Off For Ghana

Sunderland had two players playing tonight for Ghana in group L of the Afican cup of Nations qualifier against Sudan.

John Mensah returned from injury to help keep a clean sheet for his Country but it was the other SAFC star who made all the headlines.

Gyan, who scored the most for his Nation in the World Cup, was sent off for pushing a Sudan defender in the face. The defender made the most of it but if any hands are raised it means an instant dismissal.

The good news for Sunderland fans is that when Ghana play again we will not have him being risked to injury and travelling around the World for one game.
