Bent Injury Blow

SAFC striker Darren Bent has had to pull out from the England squad due to an injury sustained in training.

Bent, who scored his first International goal in Switzerland last month, was hoping for a rare start against Montenegro tomorrow night after praise by Fabio Capello last week coupled with injury to Jermaine Defoe.

Bent said today on his twitter page: 'devastated, gutted, upset, angry. All words that sum up this situation.'

Sunderland fans will be hoping the injury, described as a 'groin injury' will be minor and he will recover in time to face Blackburn a week today and especially the Tyne-Wear Derby on 31st October.
