Hendo For England?

It is being reported in the press this morning that Jordan Henderson is being lined up for an England first team call up for England's next friendly match against France.

Fabio Capello is quoted as saying he is ready to call on several of England's Under 21 team and Henderson is thought to fall in that bracket.

Sunderland's young midfielder has impressed in the last 18 months for his club and his recent call up for the Under 21s was rewarded with a goal against Romania in the tie that clinched qualification for the European Championships.

A call up would surely be no more than deserved, if a little early in his career.

-Sunderland are yet to open contract talks with Andy Reid, according to the Journal. Reid's contract expires next summer and he is becoming frustrated at a lack of first team action. He is reportedly considering a loan move away.
