'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Onuoha Loving Sunderland

Onuoha has no idea where his future lies once his season long loan deal ends next Summer but knows if he had any say in it he would pick Sunderland over City!

The young right back has made that position his own since he joined this season and looks to be a real coup for manager Steve Bruce.

Onuoha told the Sunderland Echo today: 'Leaving Man City was probably the most difficult decision I have had to make so far in my career.

'It got to a point where, if I wanted to play regularly, I needed to go out on loan.

'It was difficult to leave, but I didn`t really have any other option.

'The thing with football is you just never know what is going to happen next.

'I could go back to City and find the manager has a much higher opinion of me because he`s seen me play games for Sunderland.

'Or it could go the opposite way, and he`s made plans without me because I`ve been away!

'We`ll have to see what happens, but hopefully next summer I will be able to make the right decision - whatever that may be.

'I think Sunderland were interested in buying me this summer, and it`s certainly a move I would consider should it come up again at the end of this season.

'I`ve settled in straight away and I`m loving it here.'
