'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Calling all Sunderland fans to contribute to a worthy and original cause!

We are asking all fans who go to home and away games or watch online to help build more flags and banners for the matches.

The initial project is to create a tribute to the big man Niall Quinn and give a simple message of appreciation back to him. Hopefully with enough funds raised we can also proceed to make a large surfer style flag as well.

If successful and financially viable we can look at making a series of tributes to all things Sunderland Association Football Club.

Please dig as deep as you can, however ANY amount is greatly appreciated. We thank you for your support! HA'WAY THE LADS!

If we can reach a certain target, the 1st project will be to hang the banner on to the North or East Stand.

Thanks for all your support!

Here is a few links of the design ideas....

Does anyone remember a Boxing Day game at the Stadium of Light in 2000 when we played Bradford City? Before the game a massive flag was displayed on the pitch which was supposed to be a gesture from the club to thank the fans for our support. I've never seen it since. What happened to it I wonder and where is it now?

5-1? Indeed, a few more improvements are obviously needed.
