Mensah Is Fighting Fit

Mensah is vital to our defence as we look to recover from losing both Bramble and Turner until the new year.

Steve Bruce told the official website today that he has been in training and should be fine to start on Sunday.

Bruce said: 'John has trained a couple of times this week and took another whack on his bad shoulder on Saturday, but we think he will be okay.

'He is still out there on the training ground and that's a good thing for us. Leg wise he is okay, he just has to deal with the pain in his shoulder.'

We need to hope that he makes it through this game as he is important for us to claim a crucial three points against the bottom based team in the league.
