Meyler Makes Comeback

Injured SAFC midfielder, David Meyler has recovered from his serious knee injury to figure in this Sunday's matchday squad to face West Ham United (4pm).

It is great news for the club, which is starting to pick up injuries as the busy Christmas period approaches.

Although Meyler is unlikely to feature in possibly bad conditions at the Stadium of Light, he is at least back to being a part of the matchday squad and he will be in contention for a place on the bench at Fulham next week.

The young Irishman played for the Reserves last week and came through unscathed.

Meanwhile, Steve Bruce has said that John Mensah is likely to start on Sunday. The Lyon man will battle through the pain barrier once again as he recovers from a shoulder injury.
