Bent Wins North East Writers Award

Bent Wins North East Writers Award

Darren Bent is already a legend on Wearside with his amazing goal scoring feats for his club, and now he has picked up the same award two seasons in a row for his role as a striker for Sunderland.

Bent, who has already scored nine goals this campaign is honoured to be in the same bracket as other SAFC legends such as Phillips and Quinn.

Bent, 26, who signed from Spurs for £10m has an incredible record of 34 goals in only 55 appearances, will pick up his award this Sunday at the annual dinner.

Well done Benty and long may these awards continue!
