Magnificent Campbell Ready For Action

Magnificent Campbell Ready For Action

He started his pre season like a man possessed and even scored a few in the league before injuring his knee against Manchester United in September.

Campbell will be a vital addition to the squad as we look for some partnership with Gyan and pace to upset the opposition defenders.

Bruce beamed: 'Fraizer looks magnificent. I have never seen anybody recover from a knee injury as quickly and when you look at the knee scar, the shape he is in and the condition he is in, absolutely fantastic.

'He sees the specialist early this week and we expect him to play in a week. He's in great nick.

'We have never had competition for places for weeks.'

In other great news for the club, Bruce also said that Danny Welbeck is nearing fitness after being out for a few months.

Bruce added: 'Danny Welbeck due from Manchester this week, it has been six weeks since he did it and he should be ok.'

Hopefully by the time Liverpool arrive on Sunday 20th March we will have four fit strikers again with Campbell, Welbeck, Gyan and Noble all looking for starts and goals.
