Welbeck Glad To Be Back In Action

Welbeck, 20, who has been missing from first team action since January is delighed to be back in the shape of things on Wearside.

He has had a great season so far and could provide to be the perfect weapon as Sunderland still chase that elusive Euro dream.

'I'm delighted to be back,' said Welbeck.

'It's been about two months since I've played a game so just to get back out on the pitch is a big boost for me.

He added: 'It's always frustrating to get injured, but I wasn't going to sit at home and dwell on it. I took it as a positive and focused my mind on getting fit.

'I want to get a lot more training sessions under my belt, and hopefully I'll be up to full match fitness.'

Welbeck will be looking to make his first start in months as Liverpool come to The Stadium of Light on Sunday 20th March.
