Bruce Says No To Muntari

Muntari was hoping to make his move to Wearside a permanent one but the price of his transfer fee and wages have came at a price that Sunderland are reluctant to pay.

Muntari has not been the player we all expected when he arrived in January. He may have contributed to the win at Bolton but overall his performances have not warranted a signature.

Bruce said today: 'Sulley has been a great professional in his time here,' said Sunderland manager Steve Bruce.

'Naturally we'd like to thank him for his contribution and wish him all the best for the future.'
