'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Colback Looks Forward To Next Season

Colback, who was recalled from a loan spell at Ipswich, has been in good form in his last three games for Sunderland.

He has came into the middle of the park and came away with a couple of man of the match performances and won praise from many fan and his manager.

'It's great to hear that the manager has me in his plans for next season,' Colback told BBC Newcastle.

'I just need to kick on now and do well in pre-season and hopefully impress the manager again.'

Colback added: 'There's competition for places so I've got to keep my head down and get in there.'

'It was massive for me going out on loan, I came back with great experience, playing in front of bigger crowds, in competitive football week, in week out,' Colback continued.

'If I hadn't done that - if I had come into the first-team earlier at Sunderland - I might have struggled more than I have, but I've come in and done ok, and it's helped massively.'
