Henderson Due For Medical For Liverpool

Based on reports from Sky Sports News the deal has been agreed for £16m and Henderson looks set to leave his home town club Sunderland this afternoon.

In an amazing series of events during this transfer the price looks to be an amazing £16m with Ngog coming in our direction.

It will be sad to see Jordan leave but for that price he may help the club blossom with some great future signings.

Niall Quinn spoke on the official website and showed respect for Henderson as he leaves to face a medical and then press conference later today.

Quin said: 'Jordan is a credit to himself, his family and Sunderland's academy and everyone here wishes him the very best for the future.

'I'm pleased that we got the deal to a level that we felt was right for our club.

'We know the areas that need strengthening and the type of player we need in order to progress, and the job of bringing those players to the club is continuing at a pace.'
