David Vaughan Set For Sunderland Move?
We were reported to be after David Vaughan just after the season ended and Blackpool were confirmed as relegated. The story seem to go silent and any hope of signing the exciting midfielder seemed unlikely as West Brom took the lead in the race to sign him.
However, it is understood that Vaughan did discuss terms with WBA but decided to speak to Sunderland and move to the North-East.
Vaughan, 28, who played in 35 games for Blackpool last season was voted the Fans Player of the Year ahead of the impressive Chalie Adam, will be another great midfield addidition.
Vaughan is expected to undergo his medical this afternoon with O'Shea and join on a bosman transfer.
