O'Neill appointment imminent

Martin O'Neill is set to succeed Steve Bruce as Sunderland manager according to the Echo's Graeme Anderson.

Speaking to BBC News earlier, the Sunderland Echo reporter revealed that the former Villa man is set to take the reigns.

According to varying accounts of the scoop, O'Neill will be unveiled by tomorrow morning with the contract ready to be signed. Some are also suggesting that the Ulsterman will be in charge for the Wolves match on Sunday.
