OFFICIAL: Gyan departs permanently

Club record signing Asamoah Gyan has left Sunderland for good after signing for Al-Ain on a four-year contract.

The former Udinese and Rennes striker has agreed a permanent switch to UAE outfit, Al-Ain.

Gyan, 26, spent last season on loan with the 'The Boss' and was fully expected to complete a permanent switch this summer after scoring 18 in 22 for the Middle East club.

Signed in 2010, Gyan notched 10 in 34 during his only full season on Wearside.
