OFFICIAL: Sess signs extended contract

Star man Stephane Sessegnon has this afternoon penned a contract extension with the club which will run until June 2015.

After weeks of speculation about the future of the Benin international's future, with reputed interested from Arsenal and Manchester City, it comes out of the blue somewhat that the 28 year-old has extended his stay.

Signed from French outfit Paris St. Germain in January 2011, Sessegnon has quickly established himself as a firm favourite and the key player in Martin O'Neill's side, topping the scoring charts with eight goals last term.

Sessegnon will now remain under contract at the Stadium of Light until June 30 2015.

Congratulations Stephane!
