Sunderland face Middlesbrough in League Cup

Sunderland's reward for their 2-0 victory over MK Dons in the League Cup 3rd round is a clash against Middlesbrough at the Stadium of Light.

Following tonight's third round Capital One Cup action the draw for the fourth round was made with Sunderland handed a tie against 'Boro.

The fourth round will be played on the week commencing October 29.

The Black Cats only faced 'Boro in the FA Cup last term, running out winners after a replay at the Riverside.
