Cats Desperate To Clinch Rich Deal

Sunderland are to make another attempt to sign young Leicester defender, Richard Stearman in the January transfer window.

Stearman, 19, was the subject of numerous bids from the Black Cats during the summer - all of which were rejected.

But with Sunderland's defence looking bleak and by no means fast, manager Roy Keane will be looking to bring in some young talent.

The former England U-18 international can operate as a right back but is also a confident centre back.
