Poyet After a New Keeper?

We haven't even got to Christmas yet and already the papers seem to know who Gus Poyet will be bringing in during the January transfer window.

That well known newspaper that usually gets things wrong reckons there will be a new keeper arriving at the club, the Daily Mail even names the man as QPR keeper Julio Cesar.

They have it on good authority that Poyet will be sorting out a loan deal for the Brazilian who had such a good season last term despite being part of a side that was relegated to the Championship.

If it was to prove to be true then the move would be a good one for the keeper who needs first team football to improve his chances of making the world cup squad for his country.

There is no doubt that something has to be done to try and stop the glut of goals going into the Sunderland net, they have conceded 30 so far after just 15 games which is obviously not good.

How much of this is about adding experience and greater leadership at the back. Cesar is well known and respected for being not only a very good keeper, but also one with great organisational and communication skills

I must admit, I love transfer gossip. 99% of it is wrong, but I still love reading it all!
