Bruce To Come And Rescue Larsson?

Hull manager Steve Bruce is apparently lining up a 5 million swoop for Seb Larsson in the January Transfer window.

The Daily Mirror reports that Bruce wants to sign the Swedish international midfielder for the third time in his career as he sees the player as the sort he needs to help Hull remain in the top flight.

There is also talk of Jake Livermore being recalled to the Tottenham squad which would leave a big hole in the midfield of the Humberside club.

Larsson will be out of contract in the summer and was only saying this to press the other day, or was he putting himself in the shop window for the likes of Steve Bruce to come along with an offer?

If reports turn out to be true, this would be the highest amount Bruce has paid for Larsson having first picked him up for Birmingham at a cost of 1 million, before bringing him to the Stadium of Light on a free transfer in 2011.
