Poyet Disappointed With His side

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet was not at all happy with his side after they slumped to a 2-0 defeat at Carrow Road against Norwich City on Saturday.

In a poor first half for the away side, they fell behind when Martin Olsson's low cross was miscued by Wes Brown straight to the feet of Johan Elmander, who found Snodgrass and he slotted home.

On 32 minutes it was 2-0, this time Tettey smashed an unstoppable volley from 30 yards out which flew into the top corner.

And just to make things extra hard for the Black Cats, Alonso received a red card in stoppage time so he will miss the next game.

Poyet made a double substitution after 40 minutes, but it could not prevent the inevitable defeat.

Poyet said to reporters: 'They (the players) made me make decisions I don't like - I don't like changing players in the first half. It wasn't a case of one or two players, it was seven or eight but you can't change seven or eight.

It is very disappointing when you start a game with the importance of today the way we did. We started bad and we weren't getting close to the action. It was a mix of being bad on the day and Norwich being brave.

I try to do my best but I'm not worried (about relegation)".

Sunderland are now without a league win since hammering the dirt 3-0 on their own patch and things look set to get worse with a trip to Anfield set for Wednesday.
