Sunderland to Enter Rodwell Race?

Sunderland boss Gus Poyet is said to be looking to bring Manchester City's Jack Rodwell to the Stadium of Light.

Rodwell joined City from Everton for £12 million two years ago, but he is having trouble breaking into the first team, this has lead to reports of him wanting a move out of the Etihad Stadium.

Rodwell is interesting Poyet who needs players in his midfield after losing Jack Colback, Craig Gardner and Ki from last season's squad.

City are unlikely to sell, but they are said to be interested in the idea of him going out on a season long loan, this would suit Poyet but he will have a job on his hands trying to convince Rodwell to come to Wearside when Everton are also very interested in taking him back to Goodison Park.
