Gus Chasing Celtic Defender?

Gus Chasing Celtic Defender?

Gus Poyet is about to try and tempt Celtic centre half Virgil van Dijk to Sunderland according to the Daily Record.

The Scottish newspaper claims that Poyet had the Dutchman watched in their game against KR Reykjavik on Tuesday, but that is nothing out of the unusual really as several English clubs are keeping tabs on the 23 year old.

Although Van Dijk is a highly rated defender, he scored twice in Tuesday's 4-0 win.

Be a good signing if its true, but the Daily Record are a bit iffy when it comes to the truth.

7 goals in 49 games, thats not bad for a defender, theres a vid of him in the forum that shows him taking a free kick... awesome
