The One's Sunderland Are Not Interested In.

Crewe striker Max Clayton was one of the players that Gus Poyet was interested in but after spending a couple of weeks training with the Black Cats, the money was deemed to be no right.

There was also reports yesterday that a deal was close between Chelsea and Sunderland for winger Christian Atsu, he was by all accounts coming to the Stadium of Light on loan.

That move seems to be a non-starter, as does the reported move for Norwich midfielder Alex Tettey.

As for Lazio full-back Luis Pedro Cavanda, Poyet has admitted that there was something going on there, it seems that Sunderland were offered the chance to land him after last season's interest from Roberto De Fanti, but not this time around.

"After I heard the name yesterday morning I watched a few games of him (on DVD)," said Poyet.

"The first time I have seen him properly was yesterday."
