No Sweat Over Jones Injury.

News coming out of Sunderland is that Billy Jones' injury is not too serious.

The Black Cats new right back missed the final friendly in Portugal on Saturday with a tight hamstring, in fact the defender only played 45 minutes out of the entire three games, as well as being unable to take part in training.

But after close inspection its now clear that Jones did not suffered a strain and Gus Poyet says that it was purely precautionary that he missed the game.

Poyet told reporters: "Billy is alright. I did not play him, just as a precaution.

"We didn`t want to take a risk when we don`t have too many defenders available.

"His hamstring is a little bit tight, not a pull or a tear or anything like that.

"He told us after 35 minutes on Wednesday and we were laughing because five minutes later he was going all the way forward for a corner!

"But he will be fine."
