Mick Looking Forward To Clash

Mick Looking Forward To Clash

Mick McCarthy is expecting some banter in the Tyne-Wear derby and he loves it!

'I've never had any trouble with them (the Newcastle fans). I'll get some stick on Sunday but it's all part and parcel of a derby. I love it!

'After we won promotion I had a few Newcastle fans saying to me that they were pleased for us - because it was a guaranteed six points for them. The Middlesbrough fans said the same thing and we beat them.

'But it's all good natured and whatever the result on Sunday, I'd like to think they will still show me the respect that I will show them as football fans.'
