McCarthy Expects More On Sunday

Speaking about the derby game McCarthy expects more after the 'benign' affair last time round.

'We try to prepare for it like it's just another game, but of course it's not, it's local rivalry. I don't want to be involved in a losing derby and neither do the players.

'The last one I was involved in was a benign affair but I'm assured Sunday will be very different.

'Both clubs haven't had the starts to the season they wanted, so the profile of the game has been made much higher.

'I don't want players going into the game and being rash, trying to show everyone how much they care, with a silly tackle that will get them a silly booking or sending off.

'Yeah be passionate about it, but be sensible aswell.'
