Duo Boost Coleman Ahead Of Bolton
Sunderland manager Chris Coleman has been boosted by news that Lamine Kone and Paddy McNair return to contention ahead of tonight's clash with Bolton Wanderers.
Heading to the Macron Stadium for the midweek clash later this evening, Coleman is desperate for Sunderland to give themselves something to hang onto this season as four matches without a win sees us slip further from safety and the sides immediately above us in the table do have a game in hand.
Speaking to the Official Site as he met with the media on Monday for his pre game press conference, the Welshman explained that he could welcome back both players to his thoughts following their injury issues.
22 year old McNair hasn't featured for the side since the one nil defeat to Barnsley on New Year's Day but he has now come through two Under 23 games without an issue to boost midfield, and Kone is also now in his thoughts as well.
Mark Wilson and Kazenga LuaLua are both ruled out of the game already, and a late decision is set to be taken on Liverpool loanee Ovie Ejaria after he missed Saturday's defeat to Brentford.
'Kaz got a kick on his ankle on Friday, and his ankle had been a problem even before then. Marc Wilson is a no, but obviously Jonny Williams came on as a sub at the weekend and Callum McManaman was also in the squad so they are fine.'
Coleman went on to say.
'Paddy McNair is back, Lamine Kone is back, and they are both available to start. Ovie is training this morning (Monday). He joined with a bit of a problem but he`s getting through it. I`m sure he`ll get through the session today but it is the reaction we have to wait for. That`s not me playing games, I genuinely can`t say if he`s going to be ready until he wakes up in the morning.'
