Keane`s signings so far

With the premiership season due to start in just over two week`s. Let`s take a look at the player`s Keane has signed for the club in the close season so far.

Greg Halford - It has set Sunderland back £3 million quid for Reading`s former under 20 England International. He hasn`t got much premiership experience yet. But he is a talented player who can play in midfield as well as right back.

I think Keane has pulled of a excellent signing here, he is a good right back who is exciting going forward and can also play in midfield. Can`t wait to see him playing with Carlos Edwards.

Russell Anderson - The former Aberdeen captain joined Sunderland for £1 million quid. He is a Scotland International with 9 caps to his name. The generous defender donated his signing on fee to Aberdeen`s youth team.

An Experienced defender who can easily fill the void left be Johnny Evan`s. I hope him and Nyron can create a good partnership.

Michael Chopra - The former black and white signed from Cardiff for £5 million. He was 2nd in the Championships scoring charts scoring 22 goals in 42 games. That`s just over 1 goal every other game.

I hope he will be able to take his championship form into the premiership. We are desperate for a forward who can get us fifteen to twenty goals a season. Is Chopra that man? Only time will tell.

Kieran Richardson - Kieran has the versatilliy to play at left back, left midfield and central midfield. Kieran is an experienced Premiership player and is a current England International who has 8 caps.

The best signing of the season so far I think he is a player with real class and at 22 years of age he is only going to get better. Can`t belive Sir Alex let him go.

Dickson Etuhu - Keano signed Dickson Etuhu from Norwich for 1.5 million. Etuhu is a powerful midfielder with an eye for goal scoring seven times from midfield last season.

A powerful midfielder who gets forward and runs at defenders just the kind of player we need in my opinion. We need more midfielders who are more direct, we seem to have to many defensive midfielders.

Having already spent million`s Keano is set to spend more with him already admitting he would like to sign another two to three players.

I hope we get another Centre forward and Goalkeeper hopefully both will be a proven premiership performer`s

Here to the new season and six easy points off the Smoggie`s and six easy points off the Scum.
